About me

Hi, I'm Zoey.

I'm a photographer based in Edinburgh, Scotland, specialising in portraits, couples, graduations and travel photography.

What I love most about photography is its ability to capture not just how a moment looked, but how it felt. Whether it's celebrating a graduation, exploring a new city, or simply spending time with someone you love, these moments often become more valuable with time.

My approach is relaxed, thoughtful and personal. You don't need to know how to pose or worry about looking perfect. My goal is to create a comfortable experience and photographs that feel natural, genuine and uniquely yours.

Thank you for being here. I'd love to help tell a small part of your story.

Frequently asked questions

How many locations can we visit during a session?

The locations depend on the length of your session. I've created a guide showing the routes and landmarks typically included in my 30-minute and 1-hour photoshoots.

How soon will I receive my photos? When will I receive the edited photos?

After the session, I'll do my best to transfer the original photos directly to your phone. If that's not possible, I'll send you a WeTransfer download link within 24 hours.

Your edited gallery will be delivered within 7 days. If there are any small adjustments you'd like, I'm happy to make further refinements.

I feel awkward in front of the camera. Will that be a problem?

Not at all. Most of my clients aren't professional models, and many tell me they're nervous before the session. I'll guide you throughout the shoot and bring along simple props such as books, a Polaroid camera and other small accessories to help you feel more relaxed. My goal is to capture you at your most natural, comfortable and genuine.

What file format will I receive?

Photos are delivered in high-resolution JPG format, which is perfect for sharing, printing and keeping as memories. I always shoot with dual memory cards for extra security. RAW files can also be provided upon request.

What if it rains on the day of my photoshoot?

Edinburgh is beautiful in every season, but there's something especially magical about the city in the rain. I can provide a black or a transparent umbrella🌂 at no extra cost, allowing us to create beautiful and memorable images, even on a rainy day.

🌧 If the weather is likely to affect the quality of the session, we can reschedule free of charge to a time that works for both of us.

What time of day is best for a photoshoot in Edinburgh?

On sunny days, I usually recommend scheduling your session shortly after sunrise, in the late afternoon, or before sunset. During these times, the light is softer and more flattering.

On cloudy days, which are very common in Scotland, almost any time of day can work beautifully for photography. The clouds act as a natural softbox, creating even and flattering light throughout the day.

/ OUR PHILOSOPHY

The geographic anchor.

Traditional portraiture isolates you against sterile paper rolls, but who you are is inseparable from where you stand. We frame your milestone moments within the real environments where you live, walk, and breathe.

Using only natural light transitions and wide cinematic scale, we document your story with the artistic dignity of a gallery-grade film still.
